My client is looking to recruit a Specialist Engineer Technical – Electrical and Instrumentation . Reporting to the Technical Manager. Why would this job be a great new challenge? Because new vessels have been build and will arrive soon containing hybrid, state of the art technology. You will be responsible for automation of installation equipment. Participating in design, engineering, commissioning and testing of assets.

 Job information

• Acts as technical expert on E&I related matters whenever required. Advises Technical Superintendents and Technical Crew. Advises and assists other departments for the execution of projects. Participates in design, engineering, commissioning and testing of assets.
• Support Vessel Superintendents and inspectors in the execution of their duties with regard to planning and executing maintenance of assigned Technical Asset.
• Monitors and analyses performance of assigned Technical Asset with regard to E&I.
• Assists in ensuring compliancy with all relevant classifications, statutory requirements and international legislation.
• Contributes to future development of department with other departments within

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject matter or comparable education.
• Several years’ work experience within the offshore industry.
• Knowledge of HV/LV power generation, distribution and drive systems.
• Knowledge of industrial networks, PLC and other control systems.
• Knowledge of applicable marine and offshore regulations and industry standards.
• Knowledge of planned maintenance systems (such as AMOS)..
